My two weeks with Monty by Gwen

The first week Monty came to stay with me was nice and warm. On the first day he had a nice relaxing bath in the sunshine outside. Afterwards he sat on the table to dry. We also played out in the sun for a while and then we lay down to have a rest in a hammock as we were tired. 

The second week of our holiday we went to stay in a caravan on the Cote d'Azur. It was a very long journey - we were in the car for over 5 hours!!! We stayed on a site called Camp Pachacaid. It was lovely!! Our caravan was no. 813 so it was quite high up the hill. There was a massive pool there and some really great slides - they went so fast!! Monty wanted to try them but I told him he had to just watch with my mum. 

We went in the pool a few times and also went to visit lots of lovely places. We visited a place called Port Grimaud, where there were lots of rivers instead of streets. We went to Monaco and visited a special zoo where there were lots of birds and monkeys. We got to feed them popcorn!!!! There was also a parrot there that said "Hello!!!" We walked up a very big hill to see the Princes' Palace. 

We also went to St Tropez. Me and Monty looked for fish in the sea, we also saw lots of really big boats called yachts. We walked up a really big hill to a museum in a place called a Citadel. Monty liked the cannons. Afterwards we had an ice-cream and Monty kept trying to eat mine!!! 

We also visited Cannes. It was really, really nice there. We saw a massive ferry in the sea. The beach and the sea looked lovely. We saw lots of dogs going for walks with their owners along the sea-front. We had a great week. I was really sad. I didn't want to leave. I wanted to stay forever!!! Monty said he was looking forward to seeing everyone in school again. I WILL MISS YOU MONTY!!!!
